John Saunt Sapcote Leicestershire

Hello,

I have traced back to an ancestor John Saunt b1801 in Sapcote.  I have also found another branch (So far unrelated) for another John Saunt, also born in Sapcote b1775 who was married in 1801 to a Mary Brown on the 16th of February.  It seems like a coincidence that John junior was born in the same village in the year of John senior's marriage.

Would any of you experts be able to suggest a way of proving (or disproving) a link as a confirmation of the father and son link would enable me to jump back another 110 years!

I await any advice...

I think if you was to look at the Parish Records for Baptisms
for Sapcote 1801. ~ 1802.
You Should be able to tell who the Parents for the John born in the year 1801.
And hope it states John…. son of John & Mary Saunt.
It might also state the occupation of John (Snr)
(Which also could help in confirming right family )

I can confirm that marriage of
John Saunt. ~ Mary Brown.
