James Scott. Lived in Nelson New Zealand, sorry I have no dates
for them.

Hi lily,

A Maria Elizabeth JORNS married a James SCOTT  in 1878.

There is a Maria Elizabeth SCOTT in the 1893 Electoral Roll for Buller.
Residence: Takaka (which is a town NW of Nelson in Golden Bay, South Island);
Occupation: Domestic Duties.

I found a Probate for a Maria SCOTT, widow, died at Stoke (close to Nelson) 7 Jan 1954. Her will is held by Archives NZ, Wellington Office.

I also found a Probate for a Richard JORNS, settler, died at Masterton 14 Nov 1855. His will is also at Archives NZ, Wellington Office.
