I knew he had been stationed in Lincolnshire for a number of years but until now could not find his date of death, well, I now know that he died on 30 June 1888 of a Pulmonary Haemorrhage and was Discharged the navy "DD", right at the bottom of his ships and stations list, and against the entry for his death, it says NEWTON, now I have found there are three possible Newtons in Lincs. If anyone please has access to burial records for these three places could they please have a look and see if John STEVENSON aged 44 is there. There is a remote possibility that it may be a Catholic burial place (if such a thing exists in these places).
Any help would be most welcome, thank you.
