1915 Victorian Lookup Please

Could someone with access to the Vic index please check for me the following death

Farquhar P G McCrae  died 1915 parents Andrew M and Georgina H

I checked it at the library & managed to miss the age at death (or it wasn't on the file). Could you please check for age - I am trying to find his birth in Australia or Scotland with no success - despite finding 7 siblings.

Hi Trish

I just checked the Victorian Great War Index 1914 - 1920 and cannot find an entry for a person named Farquhar McCrae with or without those parents names


Any other clues?

Ahhh I think I am going crazy - organisation is what I need!

I have just realised he was married in Vic, but died in NSW - which is why I have no age at death (not on the index)

Please excuse my senior moment  Angry Angry and many thanks for checking.

Farquhar Perigrine Gordon McCrae was born 1838, christened Nov 1838 Kent.

Why are you looking at the McCrae's, did Georgiana's Journal get you interested or are you connected to the family?

The McCrae Homestead has lot's of information and of course the whole family tree.

Where did you find the birth? Ah I see it was in England the siblings I found were in Scotland - my MIL is related to the family - she has the most interesting genealogy - not sure how she got mixed up with the rest of us  Grin  Grin  Grin
