Hi
Welcome to rootschat.  It would help here if you could give a few dates.   If they are across 1881 you can search that free on www.familysearch.org and www.ancestry.co.uk   The latter also has some coverage of Births, marriages and deaths.  Tose is an unusual name so you may well find them there.  There is a birth for Stanley Tose in Hartlepool in 1896.  You should be able to find him in the index for the 1901 census - free to search at www.census.pro.gov.uk
Is he likely to be the father or the son?

Hi Andrea,
Thanks for your response.  This is definitely my Grandfather (so he is the Father).  Where can I find more information such as wedding certificate - can't remember my Grandmother's maiden name
Thanks, Sharon

Unless you know the church where they married you will have to pay for a certficate to get a maiden name.  Either a birth certificate for a child or the marriage, which will give her father too.   If you have an approximate date eg just before the first child then you can write to Hartlepool register office and ask them to look for it. Otherwise you can search www.1837online.com which has full coverage of all BMDs but you do have to pay.   Durhamrecordsonline may show it.  There is a link at the top of the Durham Board.
In 1901 they are at 8 Thirlmere St West Hartlepool
RG13 4641 F74 p33&34
Lawrence Tose Hd 41 Foreman House Joiner (Carp) b Whitby, Yorkshire
Emily wi 40 b Stockton
Mark so 12
Lawrance so 10
Stanley so 4
Victor C so 3
Herbert C so 5 months
Lilliam dau 13
Minnie dau 8 all born West Hartlepool

It is mistranscribed as Jose so bear that in mind when you are searching for them in other census records.
In 1861 Lawrence is with his parents in Sandgate, Whitby
RG9 3647 F79 p 24
Isaac Tose 41 Joiner Cabinet maker b Whitby
Maria 36 b Sandsend
Thomas 7
Isaac 6
Eliza 4
George 3
Lawrence 1
Ellen M 1 day all born Whitby
Elizabeth Brown servant 34
You should be able to find him in 1881 too now.
Have fun!
