How to download a Gedcom from Hotmail

Hi

I have been sent a Gedcom via Hotmail. I have tried to save it but it will only save as a web page. How do I open/save it so I can see it in Family Tree Maker?

Sorry, I don't have hotmail, so I can't try this out.

The file should be filename.GED, how is the file saved ?? ... as filename.htm or filename.html ??

If so, have you tried re-naming as filename.ged ??
