Can anyone help me find Ann Woodger who says she was born in Kimberworth [Rotherham] Yorkshire. She would have been born about 1791 if the ages she gave on the 1841/1851 census was correct. She was married to Charles Hoyland 1808 Wath on Dearne and their first child was born 1810. 1791 sounds about right - she would have been about 17 when she married.
I found an Ann/Hannah christened in Rotherham 1794 - on the igi - but this would mean she was only 14 when she married. The location is spot on but certainly not the date.
Can anyone help or check the original record for me in Rotherham?

Before 1843 Kimberworth was part of the parish of Rotherham, so bmds will be in Rotherham parish registers

I think its also worth pointing out that it was the christening you found on IGI not the birth so maybe she was born earlier.

It happened a lot in those days where lots of parents had a "job lot" done..so maybe its worth checking to see if any siblings were done at the same time.

Birth was also given 14 Mar 1794  baptism 13 Apr 1794  Smiley

Hi,
Thanks to all of you - yes I realised Kimberworth was originally recorded in Rotheham - however, the entry I found for 1794 was a Rotherham entry on the igi. It could have been mistakenly entered or there could be other baptisms not recorded on the igi. I could do with someone who could check the Rotherham parish registers for me as I can't access them online.
