Hi,

From the OMI here are the following Badrick's that mention Chearsley (i assume that is the parish you're interested in)....

Henry Badrick of Chearlsey BKM & Elizabeth Messenger married at Thame,  18 Jun 1794

John Badrick of Chearlsey BKM & Elizabeth Blake of Horton married at Ox St Mary Mag, 19 Aug 1724

Under all the men's marriages beginning with 'B' there is no parish named Chasely mentioned at all.

Regards

Hello Paula,
I always believed that Chearsley, BKM may have been the correct location.
Thank you for your confirmation that a place named Chasely does/did not exist.

Good morning Bruce.

        Found Sarah Badrick in PRs.
    Sarah Badrick c 10 June 1778
                          parents William Badrick
Mary ( no maiden name given)
Have checked marriages and  also to see if banns were called in the village but canot see them.
Could have married in any of the surrounding villages.

How much info would you like ? I have all PRs fromthe church and will look up for you .
The Badricks married into my Walker family 3 times in the village and another one I have not yet confirmed.

Will go and check the children to look for a common link.

I also have access to Chearsley registers, although can't link the many Badrick's to my ancestors  Cry
I did notice that a number of Sarah's siblings died very young (4, I think) and the mother Mary was buried 1 Aug 1786.
Tracy- Was your guess at grandparents John & Elizabeth?  If that is the right William Badrick, he died in 1822 aged 81.

Hi Julie,

  Yes a William died 29 May 1822 age 81.
a William Badrick was baptised 29 March 1741
                   son of John and Elizabeth.

Could John be the son of John and Mary who was baptised 15 Dec.1699 (that is the earliest Badrick entry I could see ) .What do you think.
Think we agree on Marys burial as well.

Wow!!
Bruce not too much to add really. Let me go through some oddities first.
  Could not find
                 2 Mary Badrickb:abt 1726
did find Mary Badrick c 30 September 1728
                  dau. of Samuell and Catherine.
2 Thomas Badrick b:abt 1728( no record in Chearsley).
Have not got records for Lower Winchenden( my lost Walkers are bound to be hiding there).

         Sarahs siblings:

            William b:26 Aug 1762
            Mary    b: 9 May 1764
            Henry b: 16 Sept 1765
            Ann b: 29 March 1767
         Mary b: 19 June 1768
         Job b:6 Feb 1769  burial 12 July 1775
         Elizabeth b: 4 Oct 1770 burial:25 Jan 1771
         Elizabeth b:5 Apl1772   burial 6 Feb 1775
         Patty b :25 Dec 1773
        John b :15 Oct 1775 burial 23 Dec 1779
        Sarah b: 10 Jun 1778
        Charlotte b: 5 Jan 1780

  Samuell Badrick was b: 4 Jul 1705 ( brother of John 1699)
You seem to have lots of info already but please let us know if you have any more gaps.

Bucks Family History Society now has all of the records to buy on c.d or paperback.(If interested).

   Best wishes and happy hunting

Found the parents of John Badrick b1699 - John & Mary Badrick.
I could only find two children for John & Mary- John & Samuell.  There are details of Samuell's marriage & children if you want them.

Also:
John Badrick b 1699 was buried 23 March 1775
Mariah Badrick b 1760 m. Thomas Handson 21 Jan 1783
Ann(e) Badrick b 1729 was buried 13 Feb 1769

There is also a Thomas & Mary Badrick who had 3 children 1766,1768,1769 - couldn't work out where they fitted into it, but could be one of the Thomas's on your list!

Good morning Tracey and Julie,
........... 3 John BADRICK b: 18 August 1754 Chearsley, BKM, ENG
............... +Mariah HARRIS b: Abt. 1755 m: Abt. 1776

This couple had a daughter Sarah - christened in 1782.

Sarah HOLT nee Badrick was shown as 60 in 1841 - matching this Sarah as well as the 1778 one.

I know I have worked this one out in the past (was she buried young?). I really need to sort out a filing system!
