The first post looked like 'LANEATH' (nearsde?) which is in Wales.
Just viewed 2nd posting and it def looks like Lancash.....with a H or K capital letter on 2nd word. Have you cross referenced handwriting against enumerators legible handwriing in name sections or did someone send it to you???

So glad you got an answer Fitty.. I can see it now - the loop we thought was an 'e' in the second word is part of the first letter - takes a while to get used to this old handwriting
