Hi Fiends'
Alice Ada Young (nee Clode)
b. circa 1870
d. 1947 aged 77.  She is buried at Fawkner -Coburg
Her poss husband was  - Joseph Hawkins Young - He is there too.

I am trying to discover a birth record so I can find her mother's Maiden name and to confirm her father's name as Henry Clode.
Possible mother's maiden name is Woolacott

Don't know if this is a bit of tricky one.  Thanks, Sue

Sorry, I can't find any sign of Alice's birth There is the birth of 2 children to Alice and Joseph Hawkins Cheuccuci Young but I couldn't see the marriage.

You might need to buy Alice's death to see where she was born

Hi Sleat,
Thanks very much for your time in searching.  It is complicated to explain, but Mary Jane Woolacott just should not be Alice's mother or Henry's wife.
Perhaps she was not his wife though there is a Mary Clode with Joseph Clode at Fawkner.
Can you see a marriage for Clode/ Woolacott?

Sorry, there are no matches for those names in Victoria. There are very few Clode's in Victoria at all. They may be in another state. If you get the death certificate at least you could find out where she was born and married. Then you'll have a better chance of finding the right parents. Maybe the informant on the death certificate didn't know.

Looking at the AVRI which covers NSW (to 1888) VIC (to 1888) WA (to 1905) and Tas (to 1899) there is no sign of your lady - birth or marriage.
