Are you from Wiltshire?
« on: Friday 26 November 04 13:29 GMT (UK) »

I'm looking for Milton  do you Know where this village   is located?
My g great grandfather was supposed to have farmed in  either Milton or Wilton.
I have Wilton located but Milton does not appear on any modern map.
however there are records available for Milton. I wonder if Milton is only an Admin district of somewhere?  Can anyone enlighten me.

Isn't Life fun

Milton Wiltshire is just off the A350 near East Knoyle - it doesn't appear to be a parish in itself. You will find it on the OS map. But there is also Milton Lilborne near Pewsey, and Milston near Amesbury as well. Wink

Milton is approx halfway down the Eastern Boundary of Wiltshire, just South of Savernake Forest and 1 mile East of Pewsey. From a map drawm by John Speed in 1610.
