do you have the info from the 1841 census? shall I get that too? was he in sonning in the 1851?

I went to the BRO today, I had time to do the Census 1841 but not the parish birth today, but will do that first next time, hope thats okay.
I searched all of Sonning Town but couldn't find him!
The reference for Sonning includes other places - Earley, and Woodley /Sandford.
Here is the BRO ref.
Sonning - Earley, HO107/13/7 film 2.
- Sonning Town HO107/28/7 film 8
- Woodley & Sandford HO107/28/8-9 film 8.
I searched only Sonning Town, it may be worth checking in the Woodley one as that is very near Sonning, where was he in 1851?
I checked Sonning Town folios 1-16 (but 15-16 are blank)
No index for the 1841, sorry.

Have def written down your parish birth look up in my book for next time.

I'll check Shiplake 1841 next time then, thats near Henley, I have some friends who live there, they have a house on the river, lovely views.

Went to Bro and checked for the 1841, 1st problem, Shiplake is in Oxon, not Berks,luckily they had an out of county list, checked that and they had Shiplake!
Checked all of Shiplake, HO 107/874/8 (BRO ref) sorry no sign of your William Prior.
