Lessel Allan of Aberdeen soldier of the Argyles
« on: Monday 26 September 05 20:56 BST (UK) »

I've found out today that an uncle of mine, namely Lessel Allan served with the Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders.  His service number was a Private with the service number 7688781where unfortunately on 6/3/1943 he was killed in action, southern Tunisia, aged 30. Where he is buried at the Enfidaville war cemetery. His home address was given as Kirriemuir, Angus.
Does anyone have any info as to who he married and if he had any children.
I believe that his mother and father had emigrated to Canada and he was brought up by his Gran whose surname would have either been
Allan or Mutch

any info on this is greatly appreciated

Hi

Have found marriage between Lessel Allan - a private in the 152nd battalion of the Canadian Expeditionery Force - and Isabella Christina Mutch, daughter of Alexander Mutch and his wife Alexandrina Raeburn.

The marriage took place @ Clatt (07/11/1916)

Hi there,

it would appear that Lessel didn't have a family, he enlisted in Newcastle Huh
sadly he was to die in 1943 in Tunisia, North Africa.
He is commemorated on the War Monument at Lumsden, Aberdeen

thanks,

Swally
