1861 and 1871 census please

Louisa Preest was widowed in 1858 and left with 3 young children, now in 1881 she had not remarried so would it be possible to look her up in 1861 and 1871.

Children would be Thomas Grantley (went by the name of Grantley) born 1848
Laura Louisa born 1851 and Alma Clara Matilda born 1855.

I have got marriages for Thomas Grantley and Laura Louisa but cannot find anything on Alma, no death or marriage and I hope the census may help.

Hi Sue

I found Alma Clara Preest in London in 1881 and a marriage for her in 1883 to either WilliamJ Maynard or Tom Slowley/Slowly.

Would it be possible to look her up in 1891 to see who she married please?

I have dug deeper and found a death for her in 1888 in Bristol.

Alma Clara M Slowley

Would it therefore be possible to lookup Tom Slowley in 1891.Could be difficult though because I dont know anything about him,except maybe these 1881 details, he was 23 and born Taunton Somerset, but living in Middlesex.

Well Sue, it could well be him, there is a marriage in 1888 after Alma died between a Tom Slowley and Laura Brock.

I am not too concerned about this, I really wanted to know if ALma had any children with Tom.
