Can anybody find a John Todd on the 1841/1851 census.

He was born in Appleby and from later census returns his DOB varies between 1837 to 1841.

do you have names of his parents?  There are a number of Todds listed on the 1851 online name index for Appleby, including a John, http://homepages.tesco.net/~rolygrigg/2439Fols98-195.htm but unfortunatley this doesn't list family groups or ages.

You can buy the full transcript from http://www.cumbriafhs.com/ - prices are fairly reasonable but may be a bit of a long shot without certainty that it will contain him.

Not as yet.We know who he married ( but exactly when and where ) and are trying to obtain marriage certificate to get fathers name. I hoped I may have obtained it from census records.
