Hi Sharon,

Good news - bad news!! Grin

John Webster parents -  Thomas & Mary - address Bargats?? - Whitchurch - Shoe Maker - date correct

Could not find the other 2 things - was the dates correct?
They are not that ease to read - typing worse than mine!! Grin Grin

Will have another go if you say they are correct.

Cheers

Keith

Hi Keith, thanks heaps- I'm afraid that for the marriage of John and Martha that was my mistake- they actually married in tunstall which is where Martha came from -
appreciate verification of John Websters parentage
Mary France- well she is on every census from 1841 and in the first few lives Ellesmere with her parents Edward and Elizabeth.then Ellesmere with husband George Harry.
She gives her birthplace as Dudleston- I have search high and low Adan came across the date I gave you in the IGi and thought if the parents matched>>...

I don't know if you have any ideas where to look for the - I understand that the records form Ellesmere are likely to be in the Flintshire records but am not sure

Hi Keith,
I hope I'm posting this query correctly. Huh
I am hoping you might be able to check the Whitchurch cemetery for any POSTONS, particularly Charles POSTON 1832 burial, Ann Green POSTON 1805, Mary Yardley POSTON 1825-1830?  Also, John GREEN not sure of his burial date but  prior to 1832.  If there are any headstones available, would you be able to email pictures of them?  Any help you can give is WONDERFUL!! Cheesy

Thanks for the info!!!

I didn't know the rest of the family just Ellen and Henry.

The farm was Alport farm Claypit Street, it may not be connected but I know that at one time (1881 census) it was in Elliot hands.

Thank you for siblings info do you know any on Henry's wife?

Hope I am not pushing it!!

Re Alport Farm. The farm was in the possession of James Elliott from 1851 and passed to his son John Reece Elliott who it is reported lost the farm due to his allegiance to the occasional tipple

[quote author=Keith Bateman. If anyone wants any details of headstones etc in the Whitchurch,  North Shropshire,

I contacted the site you gave and applied to join. As the whole proceedure may take some time, I will take up your offer. I am researching Judge Alexander Graham (1861-1942), b. Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland, ed. Shrewsbury Coll. and Cauis Coll. Cambridge. M. 1902, Mary Adeline Cock, as his second wife, called to the Bar, 1887 Dogpole Chambers, Shrewsbury and had issue, Sir John Patrick Graham. Alexander Graham m. his first wife, 1892 and had issue, Edmund Alexander Graham, b. June 1894 at 2 Quarry Place, Atcham. It is the first marriage that I would like to resolve.

Yours etc.,  Newgent.

Dear Michael,
Thankyou for including me in the reply to Keith. As you can see by my last post to Keith (no. 83), at the moment, I am researching two names; ie., Graham and Cock. If you come upon these two surnames I would be delighted to hear from you. Oddly enough I am researching a public house in East Retford, the Galway Arms.

Yours,   Newgent.
