Hello to you all, this is my first post!!
Today I went to my register office to perhaps fill a tiny little missing piece of my family tree jigsaw puzzle.I was certain that they would have the birth cert I requested, but no,hence my puzzle piece is still missing.
I am interested in a Louisa Doran,my GG Grandmother,b 1844 in Tipton, where I live.I have her Fathers name and her Mothers, taken from the census,it is her mothers maiden name I am after. The details I have are as follows:
JAMES DORAN b abt 1808 in TONG ELIZABETH b abt 1810 in BECKBURY
Their first child Caroline was born around 1836 in Shropshire, then they must have made the move to Staffordshire as the children are then listed as being born around here. I have no marriage date for them. I have looked in the IGI,but as I am a Black Country wench,I am at a loss as to the areas where I am looking, plus even though I have been looking into my tree for a while,I am still very very new to it!
Could someone possibly point me in the right direction?
Many thanks

Hi
Welcome from me too
Heywood - I think you might be correct. Interestingly there is a Susanna Doram registered 1849, Q1, Staffordshire, District Dudley, Volume 18

Hello Heywood,
Yes!I would almost certainly say that is my Louisa, nearly certain......I had stated on my form that she was born in 1844,and it was a new girl that was on,so she must have just checked out the year that I had stated-I now know that I can apply again on Monday, for the year 1845 and the name of Doram...thank you so much again Heywood, really appreciate it
I had a message come up saying I had another reply while typing - Hello Evie!!
Louisa had a sister named Susanna, born in 1849!!!!!!!!! I cannot thank you enough,I really do appreciate it,thank you both for your welcome and your help!
