Thank you for the offer.
Looking for information on my grandfather. I have a copy of his birth certificate. Born Charles Herbert Ramage, April 26, 1869. Mother was Ellen Watson, no father mentioned. The given address at the time was 62 Booth Street, Chorlton upon Medlock. He was not registered until the first on June 1869. When he married in 1904 in Canada his last name was Butterfield. I'm Looking to see if he was still with his mother in the 1871 census or if she possibly married, or was he adopted. Also looking for any information on Ellen Watson. I'm new to this so bear with me!

Chorlton on Medlock, (not to be confused with Cholton-cum-Hardy), was formerly known as Chorlton Row, and was originally incorporated into the City of Manchester in 1838.
