Hi there

Was wondering if anyone has any access to looking up on the Widford parish registers for a Jacob Pilley/Pilly born around 1772? Also I would like a look up on any Pilleys in Springfield/Great Baddow.

Plus if anyone has any other Pilley info, would love to share.

I should have used broader definition of Chelmsford in previous!
No Registers, but this is 1851 census.

Hi thanks for those!

I've hit a bit of a brick wall with my Jacob Pilley (who in 1841 was living with his wife Abigail and two of their sons, Elijah and Charles. And in 1851 is widowed and lodging at Anchor Road). I know he married Abigail Hitchcock in 1806 in Springfield and that he was a widower then, I think he married an Ann Brunt in 1797 as there is a child Mary born around 1802 to a wrongly transcribed Jacob and Arin (which is understandably wrongly read from the name Ann). However Jacob going by his age in 1851 as 73, putting him being born around 1772, but I cant find an entry on familysearch's IGI. His marriage entry has a ballpark figure for his year of birth.

If anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful! I think Ruth Pilley was Jacob's sister in law, but I might be wrong. I think she was married to a Thomas Pilley. Anyway, thanks again!
