Marriage  dates  for  John  Hamilton  and  Margaret  Nicolson  around  1889.  Margaret  was  from  Dalmeny,  Linlithgow.

There is an 1889 marriage on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk that looks very likely. JOHN HAMILTON and MAGGIE NICOLSON in Uphall. For a fee, you can download a copy of that marriage certificate. That should give you both sets of parents, including mothers' maiden surnames.
