Hi,
I have been told by a lady in Lancashire on this web site that there is a birth in the Stockport ST/14/19
James Brimelow born 1852 in Brinnington, Cheshire.
His father was - Martin Brimelow
His mother was Mary (Harrop) Brimelow
Could someone please have a look at the birth records in 1852 to check what his parents names are for me. This could well be my james.

Hi Jean,
What you have is the local register office index reference for the birth. The details of the certificate are only available if you send off for the birth certificate. The site you need is www.cheshirebmd.org.uk. If you then search for the surname and initial in the correct year you will see the reference on the right hand side. If you click on the ref you will get a form that you can fill in to send for the certificate. If you are sure of the parents names you can enter them and if this doesn't fit with the copy on the register you won't be charged - this will make sure that you get the correct certificate.

Many thanks for all the information you gave me.
I will look into getting that birth certiicate. From the census that looks like my family.
I get so excited when I find my relations.
It is nice to know there are still nice people in this world who will help you.
