Need more help on "DUNN & TATTERSHALL" please
« on: Sunday 03 December 06 09:51 GMT (UK) »

I don't know if I have to do a new thread or should I have continued with the old one.
Anyway I have now recieved the marriage certificate of William Dunn and Helah Dunn-Tattershall. April 17th 1906
Williams father was George Dunn, and he was a labourer
So any help on George Dunn would be most appreciated please.
Thanks

Hi Camuf,

Could you post the details from the marriage cert?

How old was William in 1906?

Thanks Tanja.
Sorry about the lengthy delay in replying.( Power cut)
It looks as if this is the correct george. Thanks.
Now the question is, how do I find out about George's wife's( Eliza) maiden name.

The safest way would be to order William's birth cert, which would give you his mother's maiden name.

FreeBMD has a likely marriage (fits the eldest child from 1881)
June quarter 1874 Beaminster 5a 756
George Dunn to possibly Eliza Haines

and there is indeed an Eliza Haines born ca. 1851 Symondsbury on the 1871 census (a servant at Netherbury Salwayash)
