"Heroine" to Aust. 1823. Passenger Clemson?
« on: Thursday 29 September 05 13:14 BST (UK) »

Hi All Grin
Just wondering if anyone  knows of records for passengers on board "Heroine" left UK early (Jan. to May) 1823 for Australia..  Its destination was Derwent which is Tasmania.  My ancestor then came to Sydney via "Big Perserverence".  My ancestor was living in London, Sussex, Kent area before he left UK.
Any help would be totally wonderful. Grin Grin Grin Grin

Hi Kathleen,

According to http://www.blaxland.com/ozships, the "Heroine" arrived in Tasmania 15 Apr 1824.  I can't find an arrival for it in 1823 (although the online list is not comprehensive.  There's no passenger list online for this journey.

There are several entries for the "Perseverance" between Launceston and Sydney, but there's no "Big Perseverance" - do you know what year this would have been?
