PRISONS
Hello - I`m trying to confirm the family knowledge that Francis John Bradley spent sometime in prison for theft. I think he was living either in Thornton Hall, Childer Thornton, nr Chester around 1901 or in Southport 1891.  I cannot find him on either census. Do you know which prisons might be relevant and/or are there any records?
Many thanks.
I also note your Greatorex in Staffs. intererst.  I have a Martha Greatorex b. Handsworth c1820 who married William Tredwell.

Thanks again - Cari

Hi Celia - thanks for the response.  I`ll re-post the message on the Cheshire board some time soon - too hot today!  I have no other interest in Greatorex only in that I thought it might help you. Tredwell is one of my research lines so I can give you more info on this particular Martha if you like.
