Hello JeanP, Would you be so kind , if you have any spare time to perhaps look to see if there is a "James Durward" buried at Benholm Please ? his occupation was farm overseer.

Hi JeanP, Thankyou for your quick reply .  The time would be between 1834 -1884,unfortunatly i do not have the nam es of any farms he worked on . He of course maybe not buried there ,as i only know his son was born in Benholm ( so thought perhaps my james Durward was buried there ) .

Hi Snowolf, Just a quick note to say that there are several Durwards buried in the cemetry at Bervie/gourdon. I noted this when I was on one of my trips there. Don't know if this helps any....

Hi, this is my first post here too. I am following the family of James GORDON b 29 June 1755 Benholm who married Jean MORRICE b 11 January 1754. They had six children and I am wondering if by chance there is a family grave at Benholm. John Strachan Gordon was their first child in 1781. Did you purchase your MI book from ANESFHS.
