Hi Debbie,

I'd love to see your booklet. Margaret Mcdonald the archivist at the Clan Donald Centre lives in the coft behind my parents in Kilmore. When I go home again in August I will be sure to look it up. I have lots of Macdonalds, MacPhersons and Nicolsons in my family tree. And the odd Mackinnon and Mclean

I went to Ferrindonad Primary School in Sleat from 1975 to 1980 and then Portree High school thereafter. I live in Lincolnshire now with my wife and two kids.

Does B.C. stand for British Colombia? My e-mail address is jo.macdonald@btinternet.com I would be happy to send you my family tree. I am happy to share all my info but I suspect you have a lot more!

best wishes

Andrew

Hi Debbie and Andrew
I am hoping too that there is a connection. I have Mackinnons from Sleat. John Mackinnon born around early 1800's to John and and Anne (Macdonald). He married Catherine who was also a Mackinnon. Her parents were John and Mary (Macdonald)
John and Catherine were married in Sleat.
Anything on any of them. here's hoping
Cheers

Nothing in my files on your MacKinnons's - maybe Andrew will have some stuff on them?
Fingers crossed for you!  Smiley

Debbie is being too modest - it is more than a booklet, a fantastic piece of work.

Hi Swirly,
Can you tell us who your husband's parents & grandparents were please?  William Murray & Emily McLure were my great grandparents,
I'm descended from their daughter Flora, as is Debbie in B.C.    We can certainly help you out if you tell us who your husband is.  Smiley

Hi Debbie,

I'm The Ross that you mentioned in your earlier post in this thread.  Its been some years since we last had any e-mail correspondence. Are you able to PM me your e-mail address, as my e-mail contact details have changed and so I have lost your e-mail details (I'm no longer working in Nottingham, as I was when we were in contact).

Also, I'm really interested in this MacLure history booklet that you have compiled.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
