John CUNNINGHAM of Landrick/Lanrick bc. 1819
« on: Sunday 02 October 05 19:00 UTC (UK) »

Hi,

Would anyone have any information about a John CUNNINGHAM b. abt 1819 - on census returns he is listed as born LANDRICK, Scotland on several occasions. He was a gamekeeper and was living in Sussex, England from the 1861 census onwards.
He married a Sarah Huh? bc. 1823 Stanford Hill, Middlesex.
His parents may have been Robert Cunningham, bc. 1780 Glasgow (served 20 years in the Royal Artillery Drivers during Peninsular and Napoleonic Wars) and Elisabeth Harpsell/Hopsell/Upstell or other variation.
I have details from a previous look-up listing these as parents.

Is Landrick a place? Or an area? Or could it be Lanrick, which I understand is near Dunblane? Or should I be on the Stirlingshire board?

Any help gratefully received Smiley
