The Hannah Noon bpt Horsley is probably a red herring. the link below has an Ann Noon aged 45 in '41 census for Horsley, I should think that is Hannah's mother. the IGI also has a Samuel Noon bpt Horsley, born 1824 and he seems to be in the 1841 census aged 15. Don't see this Hannah there in the '41 transcript so maybe she died.
Anyhow if Ann Noon was still in Horsley she can't be the one to marry William Key in 1831  Sad

Hi Katrina
The Hannah Noon baptism is mine - she was illegitimate, father unknown, as was Samuel.  Hannah is a F. S in Belper in 41. Her mother Ann Noon married a Key/Kay (but yet to be confirmed whether it was William although looking good) and is remarried as wife of Joseph Griffin in '41 complete with sons John and Joseph Key. Hannah married William Allsop in '42 age 15 . As confirmation John Key is with William and Hannah in 61 as brother in law and with widowed Hannah as brother in 71 - actually it was he who led me to Ann Griffin as mother.

Thanks Sylvia - sounds a puzzling entry but good as it does lend weight to my supposition that my Ann married William Key in Ashover. I have found these burials

Which seem to support my case too  Grin
