If you can post details of any rough dates you have that will give us a better idea of what to look for and where to start.

I did come across a Margaret Taylor married to James Walker in the 1861 Census for Torphichen.

There is also I web site I found for the Arthurs of Torphichen with a lot of Parish Records www.ramsdale.org/torpreg.htm
I have a Janet Graham B1801 who married James Arthur 11 June 1820 in Torphichen. They had the following children: James 1820, Mary 1822, John 1825, Jean 1827, Robert 1830, Janet 1832, John 1835, Helen 1838. James died bet 1838-1851.
Any help?
