Burial in Boston 1872
« on: Monday 03 October 05 21:49 BST (UK) »

I have the burial of a relative Lucy Hannah Dawes Ardley b July 1859 died Jan 1872  buried in Boston Cemetery - grave no A1 581.

Is there any way I can found her MI (if she has one) without visiting?  I'd love to know who's buried with her, as her family is widely scattered.

Many thanks for any help

Barbara

I went to the cemetery 3 or 4 years ago ... the pre-1920 area had been allowed to "return to nature" ... you'd have to know your way around!

This might prove useful, you can ask the Bereavement Office for details.

However, as claimed above, the pre-1920s area has been allowed to return to nature, and I warn you that my great grandparents stone/vase was found there back in about 1990, but has long since vanished, having been smashed to smithereens at some point between visits.
