I am looking fro Mary Rich and any of her family, I know she was born in Croydon abt 1794, she married John Fairman in 1827 and thereafter seem to have lived in Southwark.
Also I know they married in St Saviour, but how do I find an index for the marriage certificate, I don't know what quarter etc.
Any help would be wonderful thankyou

Unfortunately you won't get a marriage certificate through the usual GRO since the event took place before 1837 when official registration started.
You need to check the Parish Registers for this marriage, sorry I don't know whether by St Saviour you mean the church/parish or is this a district in London.
If you have a Family History Centre or LDS Centre nearby you should be able to order the film for the local church, some of them only have the bride and grooms names and dates although if you are lucky maybe there will be other information in the Register too.

Also, as suggested by Mary, films may also be available to view at your local LDS family history centre. See the library catalogue and list of locations http://www.familysearch.org
