Amelia Winterton of Aylestone Park, Leicester died 11th April 1893. Is there any way that I can find out where she was buried?

The following churches are listed for Aylestone - I guess your first stop would be one of these:

Aylestone
Aylestone Baptist Church
New Life Centre - Apostolic Church
St Andrew
Aylestone Park
Church of the Nativity

Hope this helps.

Thank you both for your replies, especially the list of churches. At least I now have a starting point.

Hello Mike

Thanks for your reply. I  received the certificate just prior to this post, But no clue as to where she was buried, just the date, cause of death, name of informant. (Death in the Sub-district of West Leicester in the County Borough of Leicester)

Hi Sandra

Don't know if you've seen it, but on this Leicestershire page there is a permanent link to Leicestershire burials. I was just browsing and noticed there are two entries for WINTERTON, but not Amelia! You might like to check it out.

Greeting's Again Sandra....

If it helps Amelia (37) was living with Husband ( Charles) & Family
in Milligan Road Aylestone on the 1891. Census returns
RG 12 / 2496 / 72 / Page. 11.

So it's just possible that Amelia is buried in St. Andrew's Church
( The only one I know to have a grave yard from that list )
But I know that the Church yard has under gone renovation of late
and the Headstones are against either the Walls of the Church or the Wall. So to make it easier to mow the grass.

Or Amelia could be buried at Welford Road Cemetery
but my records only go up to 1891.
A new burial records disk out soon.

MIKE.
