Does anyone out here have any Wood ancestors from the Kirktown of Auchterless in Aberdeenshire?

I am decended from John WOOD and Margaret BARCLAY (m. 23 Nov 1786) of Auchterless.
I would be happy to share what little information I have, should it be of interest.

I have seen this John Wood (1759 - 1844) and Margaret Barclay (1753 - 1841) in the records. They seem to have had 4 children: James (1788 -1824), Peter (1790 - 1853), Jane (1791 -1855) and John (1795- 1891)
I have not seen a marriage or children for James or Jane. Peter married Jane Cran and had at least 6 children. John married Margaret Cruickshank and had at least 4 children.
Unfortunately I cannot see a direct link with this family and my 2x Great Grandfather: John Wood (1815 -1879) and his wife Elizabeth Howie (1815 -1885)
There are so many Wood families in Auchterless it is difficult to sort the Wood from the trees!
There are also a lot of illigitimate births in the Kirksession records.
Any information on where you fit on could be helpful. I can let you have the data I have collected over the years it it would help.

Gentlemen:
I have been taking a break from geneaolgy over the summer and just noticed the recent activity in this thread.
Unfortunately, I don't have any information regrading John (1759)'s parents.
I am trying to get what information that I do have into some form that makes it easy to share. (I have been using PAF5)
