I have Griggs family from Burton End in Stansted. Anyone with connections to this name or any name from the Stansted area?

My Woodley family came from Manuden/Bentfield/Stansted Mountfitchet/Bishop Stortford from before 1780. Certainly Matthew Woodley, gentleman, his son Matthew Woodley, maltster, and his grandchildren William, Matthew, John born~1792, Thomas, Catherine, Mary, Sarah and Letita.
They later moved to Aldgate and then to Walthamstow. John's son Matthew Fuller Woodley is back in Bentfield in 1861.

Other local names are:
Welch, Gilbey, Banham, Willis, Cole(/Colt), Player(/Ployer) Archer, Shepherd, Eames, Brand, Philips, Bailey, Housden, Gray
