I am trying to find the date of a marriage between JAMES HEWITT ENSER and HARRIETT OLDHAM.In 1951 census they are both single living in pump street by 1861 they are married living in Butchers street.He was a visiting soilder .James was born 1830 harriett 1832.Have checked registers but no luck
Iam also trying to find the birth of their son Joseph green Enser.In 1861 he is listed as a visitor to his Grandmother Elizabeth Oldham. born1853 nottingham but his name is given as Joseph Green not Enser.In 1871 he is now Joseph Enser and both his brothers have Hewitt as middle name. born in ireland.I have found a JOSEPH GREEN registered june 1853 notts 7b 209 but no Joseph g ENSER.What i need to know is whether his father was james hewitt enser or someone by the surname Green Many thanks,you have all been so helpful in the past anna

Hi Anna, There is a baptism in the NFHS baptism transcripts
N-M 29/05/1853 Joseph, Parents are James and Harriet GREEN Living at Pump St. Father is a Box Maker

Many thanks Steve, It looks like Harriet Oldham must have been married to a James Green and had joseph ,then she remarried to James H Enser by 1861. Anna

22/07/1852 James Green and Harriet Oldham Nottingham St. Paul
Couldn't find one for Enser.

A baptism of James Hewitt Enser 11/02/1849 Nottingham St. Mary, Parents John and Sarah Enser living at Woburn st, father was a silk throwster.
