Hi, I can see 2 possibles in Dorset but the other one is married with children so this one looks good (in Osmington, too!)
RG9/1348 80 1 Osmington, Dorset Osmington Village Mary Voss, head, wid, 66, Laundress, b. Warmuch (?) John, son, unm, 37, Ag Lab, b. Osmington Thomas, son, unm, 32, Ag Lab, b. do. Maria, dau, unm, 27, Laundress, b. do. Elizabeth Comdon (?), visitor, unm, 36, Grocer's daughter, b. Portland

Thanks for both those entries. Sure you are right about the 1861 entry. Can I be cheeky and ask if you have access to 1851 census of Osmington? A look up on this for John would be much appreciated.
Thanks again

Here he is in 1851, in case you still need it: Ho107/1857 33 17 Osmington, Dorset William Voss, head, 66 or 61, Blacksmith, b. Dorset Broadmaynes (?) Mary, wife, 56, b. Warmwell (?) John, son, 27, Blacksmith, b. Osmington Mary White, visitor, unm, 25, b. do. Elizabeth Voss, dau, unm, 24, b. do. Thomas Voss, son, unm, 24, Farm labourer, b. do. Edward Voss, son, unm, 20, Barkers servant, b. do. Maria Voss, dau, unm, 19, Laundress, b. do. Elizabeth Coomber, visitor, unm, 26, b. Dorset Portland
Funny to see the visitor Elizabeth was already there 10 years earlier
