A friend has a major brick wall with her family.

Guiseppe D'Elia (29) married Rita Barber Lissiman (21) in 1911 at Wellington

Are there shipping records from Italy ?

Henry Barber Lissiman appears to be the first of the family in New Zealand
He married Hannah Matthews in 1854
He died 1888 at Lyttelton age 67 b Shrewsbury Salop, in New Zealand 34 years - can anyone help with shipping records ?

The D'Elias came to Sydney after their marriage - shipping records from new Zealand to Australia in 1911 ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Alex and Jan,

I checked the Register of Persons naturalised in New Zaland before 1948 (National Libary ref: FHC NZ/LIST) but did not find a Guiseppe D'ELIA.

Regarding shipping records from New Zealand to Australia, I suggest you try National Archives Australia. They're online, but i don't have the URL, so try Google.
