Hi,
Can't find an Annie Craggs born Rotherham in 1883 (or 1882 or 1884) in 1891 census. Looked for Annie and Craggs seperately for those dates and place with no joy.
There's a Flora Craggs born Sheffield in 1884 and Annie Craggs born in Melsonby Yorks in 1884 and born in Gilling Yorks in 1881 and born in Wakefield Yorks in 1881.
Can't find her at a quick look in 1901 either, come to that...
Could she have taken her stepfather's name if her mother remarried or something like that?
Just looked her up in Freebmd - there's an Annie Craggs died in December quarter 1883 in Rotherham. Could that be her??

Hi,
Just noticed your post about Annie and John Chapman on the Yorkshire board - there you give her birth as 1872, which fits with the Annie Chapman in the 1901 census, aged 29. In that case she may well be the Annie Craggs, aged 19, living as a lodger in Bingley and born in Sheffield on the 1891 census.
In 1881 I think she was living with her family at Abbeystead Huts No 5, Over Wyresdale, Lancashire, England and is simply recorded as born in Yorkshire.
