FreeBMD has the following marriage: Bromyard Registration District June quarter 1907 John Ernest Gardiner to either Mary Jane Bowen or Annie Mowbray.
Through the census returns, there is a John Ernest who looks promising:

In 1901, John is a servant (assistant pork butcher) in Ledbury RG13/2471 14 20 Rest of family are still in Wellington Heath RG13/2470 94 5 Tanja
