Hi I am trying to trace the birth details of my Grt Grandmother, all I know is she was born abt 1883 in Donnybrook, Dublin. Have found a possible entry on the 1901 census where she was working and living as a servant in Islinghton London. She married John Nowlan in 1905 in Popular, they had 3 children, John who died in the 1st year,  John born 1908 (my Grandfather) and Norah. Any help greatly appreciated

Once you get the marriage certificate be sure and post the details of her father here (name & occupation) so that we might be able to help you narrow down the choices.

There are numerous O'Brien girls baptised in Dublin called Kathleen, Catherine etc. so also impossible to find her without other details (father, mother, address, etc.) to confirm or eliminate what's found.

it states her place of birth and approx birth on the 1911 census..... I know it is a very common name and was asking incase anybody else had her details in their tree........as yet tho I haven't found any Kathleen O'Brien born in 1883 in Dublin.

Hi, finally the marriage certificate has arrived. Kathleens father was Michael O'Brien and he was a general dealer, her age given on hte marriage certificate (18th March 1905) was 23 yrs so DOB approx 1882. I still haven't managed to find her birth details to give me her mothers details.........any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
