With regards to why HFJV was buried in the Catholic churchyard, Margaret Kelly was Irish and we assume he must have converted when he married her.

I assume that is a typo... Margaret Kelly.
Do you live near Cape Town? According to a record I once read, it says the 'Vincent Plot'... are his parents there? Unlikely but you never know. Being in the UK, and not planning to make it out to Cape Town in the near future... it would be handy to have someone take a picture of the graves. By the way, I have quite a substantial family tree on ancestry which I can share with you. Many years of research... James

Thanks James, sorry for the typos! My mum was born in Cape Town, I'm English but currently live in Australia, though I'm currently on holiday, visiting relatives here in the uk!

I think these Vincent are unrelated, as the names don't ring a bell. From memory I have the plot number but will have to check.
Thanks anyway

This has been very handy, linking up with the South African lot. Still looking to confirm what happened to Herbert Janvrin Vincent and his wife Agnes. Maybe a trip to Rangoon (Yangon) is on the cards.

Thank you for a few more leads, slowly coming together. Hopefully there will be some more people out there with Janvrin and Vincent as part of their name.
