Philip Arthur STAPLES born 1915

Hi,

I'm looking for Philip Arthur STAPLES born 1915 in South Africa.

He appears on his mother's death estate papers in 1967. His address at the time is recorded as 334 Delorme Road, Mondeor, Johannesburg.

Any ideas as to how I might find anything more about Philip? Did he marry? Did he have children? Did he leave SA? (I can't find anything on NAAIRS, Ancestry24, Familysearch and the other usual sites about him)

I've just found him on the USA Patent & Trademark website!

He submitted his idea in the 1970s and has the same address as he did in 1967 (334 Delorme Road). Here's the link:

I've also found Philip's father's, mother's and brother's death records in SA but can't find any trace of Philip from the 1970s onwards.

I've found Philip's death mentioned here:

Looks like he died in 1981, but I can't find any mention of him on NAAIRS.

There's an address mentioned in Bryanston. Does anyone know the local cemeteries in that area?

If Philip Arthur STAPLES was buried [not cremated] the most likely Cemetery would be Westpark Cemetery in Montgomery Park, Johannesburg. Unfortunately it does not appear to have been photographed but you can see an overview and some images of the cemetery here: http://www.allatsea.co.za/cems/westparkmemorial.htm
You could also look at the Johannesburg City Parks site:  http://www.jhbcityparks.com/index.php/cemeteries-contents-61/find-a-cemetery-contents-42#westp
and contact the Cemetery by email on the off-chance that they may check the register for you.
