Ancestors of Clan Allan, sept of Clan Grant, near Grantown-on-Spey

Is anyone researching the early ancestors of Clan Allan in the 1600-1700's? I'm specifically looking for information on the Grant families of Gartenmore, Kinchurdy, Mullochard, Auchernach and Auchterblair, all located near Grantown, some of which are now in Moray. By the early 1600s, these properties were all held by sons descended from James Grant of Auchernach, one of the principal Chieftains of the Clan Grant, c. 1630. Other sons held Congash, Nevie and Lethendry.

Also, anyone have a clue who Robert Grant of Easter Duthil is that appears in the records in 1708 and is somehow connected to all of these families?

History of the Province of Moray has a Robert Grant at East Elchies and a Laird of Grant at Duthill both in 1667

Easter Elchies House (built 1700) is on the MacAllan (whisky distillery) estate I suspect you may find that is your link, Allan to Grant.  Would definitely be worth asking them.
