harry donnelly (1942-1985)/springburm lamarkshire

hi can anyone at at all please help me find my fathers family, his name was harry Donnelly in 1942 in springburn but was murdered according to the police in 1985 in a place called townhead. he did not marry my mother but had sx children to her whom he he had murdered in 1973 in  151 memel street in springburn. my mothers name as Magdalene Burke (nee McLean) her husbands name was Hugh Burke.
did Magdalene have any children to burke? ans what kids did she have to my father Donnelly as i don't know their names as i was very young and adopted out to other family members.
can anyone help me in regards to grandparents, the murder event itself, any siblings i may  have and any other family members, i know this may be an odd requues6 but i would really love to piece together my biological family tree and find some living relatives. i know it may be a big ask but any info would be appreciated and of great comfort. thank from john Donnelly (minnie1703s partner)xx   PS i am awaiting certificates but its been 4 weeks now since ive ordered them and im growing a little impatient

John, there has been a recent murder enquiry/genealogy search in Glasgow here on RC this week. Have a read through re some helpful advice as to what may be available for research to you www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=689047.0 A few more posts for this line from Jackie, think I have picked up on the most relevant one.

Can I just check before we head off...

Have you confirmed your birth mother is deceased? Do you know if your father is also deceased?

Gets tricky (impossible here really  ) to discuss people who may still be alive if events are recent and deaths not confirmed. Sure your understand, people's privacy is important in today's world.

Hello John,

Unfortunately, we don't discuss or try to research living (or those who may be living) persons on Rootschat.

All the dates you mention are too recent to be able to view or download any pertinent certificates as you probably already know so you would have to visit S.P. in person or get someone to do it for you and transcribe any which may be found.

I looked up a possible marriage for Hugh Burke & Magdalene McLean and it appears on S.P.'s Index as 1956 in Springburn, Glasgow City. Their M.C. would list ages, occupations, parents, place of marriage etc.

I'm not sure how you would go about finding other children NOT born to Hugh Burke unless you knew if he died, and when.

Are you sure about your dates? Scotlandspeople has a death record for Magdalene Burke in 1971.
