Hi Ann Marie

Many thanks for copying all that information for me.  I am trying to work out how all the people might fit in.

Everything points to Susanna Todd and James Lockhart being my ancestors.  Their daughter Mary married John Cathcart in 1831.  I am trying to find when Mary Cathcart (nee Lockhart) died and where she is buried.  She was born in 1805 and died some time between 1841 and 1851 I beleive.

I am also looking for her husband John Cathcart, born between 1795 and 1799.  He would have died sometime after 1861.

Lastly there is James Lockhart who was born in about 1771 and died sometime between 1841 and 1851.  He could well have been buried in Maybole.

If you are happy to search the Maybole records, I would be very grateful.  Your efforts so far are very much appreciated.

Thanks again.    Christine

Christine,
I checked the Maybole records and the only Cathcarts is a Jane Cathcart married to a John Gray.

The only Lockhart is a Jean Lockhart daughter of John Ross died 1913.

I checked Girvan and here is the following,
There is a Jane Cathcart died 1883 aged 81yrs. Also a THomas Cathcart Murchie d 1917 aged 46yrs.

Ralph S Cathcart d 1983

David Cathcart 1937, wife Mary Jane Burden. Son David McClaren Cathcartn 1980.

No Lockharts present in Girvan.

It doesnt look like your people are buried in any of the three graveyards. Sorry.

Hi Ann Marie

Thank you very much for looking. I am going to see what I can find out on the Scotlands People website.  I have only just discovered how much information is on it.  Unfortunatley most of the details I need are pre the date for registrations.

Thanks again
Christine

Hello Ann,
Would you mind looking to see if there are any Lynch (or Linch) entries in Maybole please?
Thanks, Helen
