Hi Rosie and Sandra

Many thanks for all the research done by you both on Eileen and Robert Morrison. I knew they must both be dead or going on for 100 but nevertheless it's sad to find out that Robert only had 14 years to enjoy Canada before he died in 1977 and that Eileen lived on another 14 years on her own.

She was my godmother and my mother's best friend.

I was also looking for the details of Robert Mackay Morrison.  There is a tragic story here as his mother Mary Ann ( my Grandfathers sister) was married in 1917 ( I have their wedding picture) and her husband was killed in 1918 ( WWI in France) and never saw his son Robert Mackay Morrison.   My Grandmother died when her childeren were young so Mary Anne moved in and raised my mother and her brothers. Robert Mackay Morrison was brought up with my Mother.  I have now unearthed a WWi medal given after his death and was searching for a possible son/daughter so that it would mean something to someone.    Robert emigrated to canada and even sent money back to the family house in Scourie NW scotland to assist in building a porch.

Father killed 21st March 1918   Robert was born 18th December 1918. !!!
