James Ledwith - Edgeworthstown
« on: Friday 13 January 12 11:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi -

I am looking for any information about a James Ledwith who was living in Edgeworthstown in 1911 and is listed in my ggrandfathers (Eugene/Owen Keane)  Ellis Island Manifest as his closest relative (uncle).

James was 21 at the time (1890c - ?) and working for a Mr.Thomas Masterson (a shopkeeper).

I did find on line a James Ledwith buried at plot M12 at Augafin Cemetery but no dates are listed.

Any help would be wonderful   :)

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Yes I´s pretty sure the 1911 cenus is him.

But - I´m not sure if that is James in the 1901 census or not. Its the ages of the parents that have me a bit confused. According to the info I have James was my G-grandfather´s Uncle. My GF was born in 1895 and James would have been born around 1890... and James´s sister (my GG-grandmother) was born in 1865. A bit weird isnt it! Maybe James wasnt really the brother but the nephew of my GG-grandmother?
