There is a marriage that took place Miss Alma Tomkin........that had taken place at the residence of a Mr. Scott in Jefferson County, Alabama.  Is it possible that this wedding was reported by another newspaper and could someone suggest where I look.  Thank you, Lookin2

There are some links to Jefferson County or Alabama newspapers here:

If that doesn't pan out, the Birmingham public library has an option to submit newspaper article requests:  http://www.bplonline.org/services/ask/ObituaryRequestForm.aspx

Thank you Shellyesq.  I could not find any reference to Cardiff (which I believe was a small, perhaps, mining town, in the 1890's  to two of the sites you gave so I have posed my question to the Birmingham Library.  May I ask as this refers to a wedding that took place in a residence in Cardiff and performed by a school teacher whether you know if  they wore two hats at that time and if so, would/where such a marriage be registered. Your always a great help.  Thank you, Lookin2
