the asylum is 1900 says widowed but on the 1910 married on the 1900 says birth England not Ireland could this just be a mistake

The information was probably coming from an asylum employee who was making a list of everyone and Edward may not have been able to communicate well, so I think there was more opportunity for error in situations like that.
