Looking for George Gibbs, he turns up on the 1901 census with his mother Phebe Gibbs in Litchborough, Northamptonshire and then seems to vanish.The census states he was b abt 1884 in Nuneaton although Phebe (or Phoebe) was born in Adstone, Northamptonshire.

This looks like them in 1891

Phobe Davis widow 44 charwoman bn Northamptonshire unclear but indexed Adstone
Florence Davis 10 dtr
George Davis  7 son bn Nuneaton

Now, wonder why they are Davis in 1891 and Gibbs in 1901? Perhaps Phoebe remarried to a Mr Gibbs in the intervening years.

Or maybe she has reverted to her maiden name?

I had looked at that George before and it's interesting because a birth record I found was for a George Davis Gibbs.
If I have the right Phoebe, she did indeed marry an Alfred William Gibbs in 1873 and they were still married in 1911, so the problem I have is with the dates. I think it's entirely possible I have been looking at the wrong Phoebe! I will have to go back and and have a think about what info I've got that is possibly wrong.
